The American Music Awards, commonly abbreviated to the AMA's, is an annual awards show. Created in 1973 by Dick Clark, the winners are determined by the public and fans who can vote through the AMA's website.

The 38th AMA's were held on November 21, 2010. Kesha was nominated for 3 awards including: Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, and T-Moblie Breakthrough Artist.

The 41st AMA's were held on November 24th, 2013.

Kesha performed "Timber" alongside Pitbull. It was the first and only time the duo had performed the single together. At this point, Kesha's eating disorder had reach an all time high, which was visible by her physical appearance and her voice not sounding as strong. The doctors told Kesha that it was a maricle she didn't "drop dead" on stage during the performance.

2019[]

The 47th AMA's were held on November 24th, 2019. On November 14th, it was announced that Kesha would be performing with Big Freedia.[1] It will mark Kesha's first performance at the AMA's in six years.

Performance[]

Kesha performed "Raising Hell" alongside Big Freedia, as well as "TiK ToK". Her performance became the most tweeted that night and "Raising Hell" jumped 100 spots on the iTunes US Charts, as well as "Tik Tok" re-entering the charts.
