"Butterscotch" is a previously unreleased song performed by Ke$ha. Four demo versions were leaked between 2009 and 2019. The song was officially released on the 15 Year Anniversary Edition of Animal + Cannibal.
Background[]
In a 2009 interview with 102.7 KIIS FM Ke$ha was asked if "Butterscotch" would make the Animal tracklist to which she replied "maybe".[1]
In 2016 a re-recorded version of the song by Krystal Jung of K-pop girl group f(x) was used in an ad for Korean cosmetic brand Etude House.
In 2025, Kesha mentions how fans have been requesting this song to be included in the setlist for The Tits Out Tour.[2]
In November 2025, the song started getting copyright strikes online.
