Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. Swift began her career in country music, however, over time she shifted to pop music. Kesha stated in an interview with Rolling Stone in 2017 that Swift is her friend, and that she "picks up the phone every time I call her". In 2023, Kesha also mentioned she has been a fan of Swift's since her debut in 2006.[1] Swift supported Kesha by donating $250,000 to her to help with any financial needs following her preliminary injunction being denied in 2016. Swift later received support from Kesha as her sexual assault trial against David Mueller was coming to an end.

Kesha was seen in a photo from Swift's social media from 2016. Kesha also attended a party for Swift's album release party in 2019. The singer also tweeted in support of Swift after it was revealed her label had barred her from performing her old songs at the 2019 American Music Awards. When "My Own Dance" was released, Taylor posted the song on her Instagram story calling it the "most iconic song".

Taylor reportedly paid Dr. Luke the damages Kesha owed after a judge ruled that texts between Gaga and Kesha were deemed defamatory.[2]

When Taylor released her surprise album, folklore, she sent a cardigan to her friends, including Kesha. She later sent Kesha merch bundles for her albums Midnights and Speak Now (Taylor's Version).[3][4]
